The last time I shot a animal with a bb gun I was 8 or so. Are the animals you are going to hunt leagle in your area? Are you going to eat them or just kill them? I wouldnt consider any of those animals GAME animals they are more thought of as pests.

As for afectiveness of a pellet gun I would say it would kill all the animas except the crows, you wont get close enuf to use it, those dam birds are smart. I have a hard time getting close enuf for a 22 rifle.
