RE: Adjustable Single Pin Sights
The HHAOL series is about as good as it gets for adjustable sights. The all-metal construction is one thing that wins me over. They're nearly indestructable, and pretty much as bright as you will ever need---without a light, I might add.
I don't quite agree with Niner's assessment regarding yardage estimation. Whether single pin or multiple you still have to estimate the yardage and execute the shot. It's just a matter of which pin you choose with a multi-pin sight. Of course this is when practicing and 3D. For hunting I just set my OL-5000 for 25 yards and leave it alone. With a bow speed of about 260fps or above I can hold the middle of a vital and just shoot anything inside 30 yards. I don't really care that at 30 yards the arow impacts 3" low. That just means the shot will take out the top of the heart along with the lungs. The only thing I have to determine is whether the animal is within 30 yards. It's a no brainer. And a nice clean sight picture helps keep things simple, too.
Go for it.
