If there were no debates or arguments over bow hunting related issues, I probably wouldn't come here. Reading the stories of bowhunts is nice, but not what I like the most. I enjoy learning new stuff about equipment and techniqes. Many of these areas are controversial and if no one debated them, then it would be more difficult to make up my mind over which theory makes the most sense to me. However, as soon as someone calls another stupid, or unethical or any number of other personal statements, the thread degrades to a flame fest. If everyone simply stuck to the topic and never made a personal statement about anyone else, we'd have the best forums going. Do we really need to point out when someone is not up to our standards? How are they going to react to that? Most will flame back and then we've got something that nobody really wants to read.
