I like these bullets, but they are made a little different than some of the other bonded pills. The Scirocco uses a thick jacket of pure copper. It seems to keep mushrooming to a bigger and bigger diameter as it expands;and expands more slowly than a Partition or Accubond does initially - but makes a bigger wound channel in the middle of the animal. They will put an elk on the ground, with a rib shot, faster than any bullet I have ever used. However, they do not break big bones or penetrate quite as well as other premium bullets like the TSX orPartition.

The 165 grain is ideal, IMO, for the .308 and 30/06 calibers. I use the 180's for .300 Magnums.
