Default RE: For those looking to buy a new Turkey gun.

ORIGINAL: BSTNFREEK

......The only bad thing that I have found with it so far is that to break the gun in, you have to shoot 3 - 5 boxes of 'heavy hunting loads' through it...... GREAT GUN!
I shot mine for the first time just recently. The first three rounds I put in it were 3 1/8 dram 1oz #8's.. VERY LIGHT LOADS..

It performed flawlessly !!!

It also digestedlow base 7 1/2's and everything I put in it!

I did something that I bet you didn't do Bstnfreek.....

As soon as I got it, I completely disassembled it and completely cleaned it with brake cleaner. I removed all the heavy greese that it's shipped with.
Then I coated all the insides and especially the parts that move across each other with MILITEC 1. I let it stand for a day or two and let the Militec soak into the metal.

Get Militec!!! It works!!

The user manual says that you are supposed to use
3 1/4 dram - 1 1/8 oz - at a minimum.

Mine spit out the lightest stuff I put in it and it cycled perfectly RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!
