Default RE: A little about you & your camp...

Well, my hunting is going to drastically change this year. I am 23 years old currently in the Air Force and I live in south Georgia. My home town is located in SE Wisconsin. The past few years I would take about 25 days of vacation and go back to Wisconsin and bow hunt about 5 days and then rifle hunt 6. I normally couldnt hunt much because I never get to see family and friends so I had to spend some time with them. All the hunting I do is on county land in Black River Falls, WI. I know alot of people dont like public land but I love it. I get deep in the woods and its like my own deer haven back in the swamps. The last few years I have seen at least one buck that would go over 140 p&y. Last year I took a big 12 point that should score in the 150's to 160. I normally bow hunt with my Dad, cousin, and best friend. Gun season normally is between 5-10 people, all family and some friends.
Now this year I live in Georgia after moving from Japan. Now I will be able to hunt WMA's, on base, and my friends lease. Finally I can bow hunt how I want for months. I will still take my vacation to WI because nothing compares to hunting those big northern deer in snow or frosty mornings. The only bad thing now is I am in Iraq and cannot scout until late August which sucks. Oh well, at least I can hunt and not worry about getting shot at like over here.
I uploaded the picture of the 12 pointer that I shot last year.Hopefully it worked. My cousin picked it up since I am in Iraq and he is the one holding it. I love public land
