Default Scope for Caribou Hunting...

Hi,

I'm heading up to northern Quebec this september for a Caribou Hunt. The terrain is pretty open and, from what I've been told, 200-300 yard shots are not uncommon. I currently have a 1.75-6x32 VX-III mounted on an 06. Does anybody have experience hunting in this terrain (100-200 miles north of Shefferville)? Do you think this scope is enough or should I look into something a bit more powerful?

Thanks for your advice.
