Yes, cottonseed. It is high in protein, but contains gossypol, which is a toxic substance with particularly harmful effects on non-ruminants. It is also toxic to wild hogs, so they won't get into it, either.
Can you tell me more about feeding cottonseed. I just did a quick google search, sounds like you have to be carefull not to over feed with it, something that would be hard to do in my pvc feeders. Do you use it to
feed deer? Do you mix it with something else also? What is the cost of it?
