DM has you covered on the tip question but I would also offer that using an arrow whose spine is slightly too stiff is better than using one that is slightly too weak....at least I have found this to be the case from an accuracy perspective. Also, many hard drawing/hard cam bows tend to prefer a slightly stiffer spine than what many charts recommend. Something to consider.
