The deer weren't out too overly great tonight in the fields where I usually see them at, but I still ended up seeing 23 bucks, witha dozen or soof them being good 2-3 yr. olds and a couple more that might have been a little older. Several were nice 8-pts. with spreads out to or past their ears,one was a really nice thick-necked 9-pt., and there were a few more that looked to be a little behind the other bucks in antlerdevelopement (6-pts. right now)but they still got about a month ofgrowing left.I still think that most of the big boys are waiting until dark to come out to feed...they usually start showing up from the end of Julyto beginning of August. I can't wait to break out the spotlight and video cameraand get some velvet footage. Still three month to go before bow season gets here .
