RE: Mathews Ultra 2 question??
28 inches is far from short, it is more like average. I shoot 25.5 to 26 inches, that is where things get challenging. At your draw length you can still shoot normal cams and don't have a problem with effeciency dropping off.
The ultra 2 is a nice bow, especially with the mini max cam if you are small. A few years ago it was one of the better bows for women and short draw archers to gain some speed and energy. I wouldn't consider it short though by todays standards.
However currently there are other bows on the market that are just as fast, more user friendly and have less recoil and are shorter because of the newer limb designs. My Mighty Might is a better bow than the ultra 2 in my opinion and just as fast or faster.
Like I said, I don't want to sound like I am bashing on it, it is a good bow. Just a few years outdated is all. For the same money or a bit more you could do better in my opinion if you shopped around. But if you are dead set on getting a mathews it is probably not a bad deal.
Just giving you some more options is all.
