I guess I'm the minority here. I prefer the vertical pin sights. Never had a problem with picking the right pin or guesstimating in between yardages. The thing that I feel makes the most difference with the vertical pins is how bright they are. If they don't glow brightly, it's hard to see them because they turn into a black line. I started using a light for the pins during the day also and that helped out a lot. Currently I am using a single pin on a slider. It is also vertical and I love it so far. I have nothing bad to say about horizontal pins and I used them for years. Just a matter of preference. Try them both and decide for yourself.
