Yall can't be serious.
The .270 got a bad rap 30+ years ago because of the high velocities, under constructed and light weight bullets when hunting elk and moose with it. But to say that the core lokts are crappy bullets for use on deer sized game is absurd. That is what the bullet is designed to kill. It is constructed in much the same way as a Hornady SST, Nosler solid base, Sierra Game king, Nosler BT, Speer bullets and a host of other regular bullets. Yes there are some monor differences but none of them have bonded cores, none are partitioned. All of them use regular ole copper jackets around a lead core .
A barnes bullet is primarily designed for much larger and tougher game animals than white tailed deer and instantly turned a "deer rifle" into an "elk rifle".
