RE: A great day....
For me 60 yards is down right stupid. However for a guy who is use to practicing the yardage, know his equipment, etc. it may not be! Their is a competition guy in this area who holds 30 records for shooting, he said he has and feels confident shooting an animal to 70 Yards(with a range finder for exact yardage)...but again he practices at 90 meters and hits the 10 ring...so he knows how to shoot, wind, equipment and his bow to a T. Just b/c I am not confident beyond 40 yards, doesn't mean an accopmlished archer who is....IS STUPID! As for penetration at that distance with the bows & tech. today....if placed in the ribs(H/L) I can't see why it wouldn't do the job! Again not saying I would ever shoot at anything over 40 that is my outside max and in fact I have never even attempted a shot of that length on game, but if I was an accomplished archer who could put it into the basket at 70 yards, I knew how to judge the climate situation, predict possible arrow flight, exact yardage and so on...why not?
