Well, I had a monster Kansas 10 pointer at about 45-50 yards last year and I actually was pretty calm because I'd been watching him for maybe 5 minutes. He was 10-15 yards from getting an arrow through the lung toos, and he never knewit.Very brushy creek draw he was in, no way I could get a shot where he stood. That buck lived ....... he'll be a 200" buck this year and I get to hunt him !! (thats my horn porn kicking in )

IL Rancher - My point is, in the woods, you don't really ever try and calculate if a deer is +/- a yard of your personal effective range. You see a deer, decide to shoot and when then moment feels right, you take the shot knowing you can make it. That isn't a hard line of 25 yards max, or 35 yards max - its bowhunting, its taking a shot when you feel you can make it.

HNIJustin - would you take a million.1 shot ? And until you drop the the training wheels, your bow DOES NOT kick my bows tail Shoot a real bow this weekend and be humbled [&:]
