Default RE: Any 10mm fans?

Oneissue with the 10MM is way the caliber's pressure curve develops. For 1911 design guns, the ideal pressure curve is one that builds fairly steep on the onset and then falls away fairly quickly. The 9MM, 40 S&W, and .45 ACP have this type of pressure curve. The 10MM has a flatter curve - causing the pistol to rise more in its recoil cycle between shots -and in the case ofhigher pressure loads, creatinga possibility of the gun trying to unlock mechanically before the presuure has dropped to the point where the lugs can freely let go of each other. IPSC competitive shooters noted pretty early in the 10MM's development that it is one of the slowest calibers, in terms of shot-to-shot recovery, that are chambered for the 1911 platform.
