Did not mean to steal your thread... I browned mine with some stuff that is not even made anymore and it was a lot of work... 25 years later it is still the same color. My friend who buys rifles in the white and then puts them together to make a little extra money (which he never does because he never sells one) uses Birchwood Casey and Brownell products for his barrels and stocks. Next time I see him I will get some more information for you....
