Default RE: Gun Browning

My first Renegade was a .54 caliber kit rifle I got in the early 80's and it has the double screws through the tang. Also like yours, with 90 grains of Goex and a .530 roundball it will really shoot. I loaned it one year to a friend of mine to use during the last weekend of muzzleloader season and he popped a nice little doe at over 100 yards. He said he figured the ball would drop so he aimed for the spine and broke her back with the shot. My other two Renegades are of the same style but higher serial numbers. They really are a great rifle. The only draw back of the Renegade for me is when it is loaded hot, it tends to smack me in the cheek bone when I shoot it from a bench rest. By the end of the day, there is some real pain there. Other then that I think they are a good looking rifle and well made.
