D-man, If you're comfy with your bow, of course that's all that matters. I hunt with my own handmade wooden bows. Actual monetary cost is about zero dollars, though I invest a great deal of time in them. They have plenty of energy to kill anything in North American. (Primitive peoples have been doing it for ten of thousands of years.) Since I'm on such the low-tech end of things, most guys think my style of hunting is kind of neat, but there's always the few who give me a look of, "you shoot that?". Don't sweat it. Shoot what you like and have fun with it.
