I'd have to agree that the #1's are a little overpriced.
I have a $175 NEF that will shoot the same size groups as the #1 I had...Granted, it's not as pretty. It's not as shiney. BUT, it shoots as good.
WOw that number 1 you had must have sucked to shoot that bad... they had some bad barrels in the late 70's and 80's maybe you were the lucky guy. No its not as pretty and it doesn't shoot magnums either and it breaks open and it doesn't use an expensive breech block system which means when your shooting at game or a target your eyes are less likely to get off the target. Lets not mention an above average piece of wood on it instead of cheap plastic or hardwood. Lets not mention an extraction system that works instead of one that works most of the time. Lets talk about built in scope rings not some cheap POS aluminum weaver base. I own a Handi-rifle and I own a few number 1's and they both have their place but you 2 fools are the first people I have ever heard even comparing them.
