They are good for lines but I do not like them for rod and reel.You have to let the fish take the bait down his tought than just snug up the line.I catch a ton more fish on J hooks on rod and reel than circles.On lines they are fine the fish takes the bait down his gut than trys top swim away.

They are very good for kids and people that do not fish much.
