In short: Yes. It was original proposed that xbows could be used during all of archery season for both deer and turkey. There has been a statewide uproar over how the proposed season was established. In the June meeting the DNR removed the extended season and left it as a one week season to follow rifle season.

Eventually, I think we are going to see an extended xbow season; just not in 2005.
