Well for hunter class, you will have to use 4" feathers or vanes. I would HIGHLY recommend the new Vane Tec's. They are as easy as duravanes to apply (you can't even pull them off) and I have now been shooting them for a few weeks with no damaged fletchings. I have shot literally dozens of groups with all the arrow shafts touching and not a single damaged vane yet with these, I have never seen this with other vanes. They are also one of the cheapest out there and only weigh in at 7 grains a piece and they are a no brainer.

For a fletcher, I would suggest picking up a used Jo Jan off archerytalk.com or ebay. That's what I just got and it works great, only cost $60 with 4 strait clamps and a helical clamp, and I can do up to 6 arrows at a time if I buy the extra clamps for it.

I now have my pro 22 3D arrows fletched in all white with slightly offset strait fletching, and my XT 75/95 hunting arrows with white 7" wraps, 2x white vanes, and 1x flourescent orange vane in a hard right helical. It is awfully nice to be able to do all my own fletching..........
