I would wait a year or two so he can grow into the bigger bows. I shot my first deer with a bow when I was 13. I was using a Browning Miro midus at 40 pounds. If the Mustang fits him and he can shoot it well there is no need to rush an upgrade. Both bows are very nice bows. If you wait a year or two you can probably get him a bow with 70 pound limbs that will last him a lot longer.
