I couldn't find the densities but generally there are about 100,000 deer taken during the week long deer gun season in the state and I believe areoun 25,000 taken during the archery and primative weapons season each year.
In areas of the state you can take up to 4 deer with only 1 being a buck.
So I guess it depends on what the intent is.
Me, I plan on taking a doe as soon as I can and seeing what happens as far as the buck goes.
