Sam Rayburn is great. Good fishing and scenery.
If you decide to go that route, and will be driving,
you'll be going past some of the best bass fishing
there is. Lake Fork in N. TX is known for big bass
and there are alot of guides and lodging available.
Lake Texoma has a great striper population as does
Lake Whitney outside of Hillsboro Tx. If you're not
familier with striper, they get huge. Lake records are
>35lbs. Alot of other lakes, but going on down to Rayburn
you'll be close enough to the gulf to alsodo some bay fishing.
Spotted trout and red fish guides are easy to find, do a
search around Baffin Bay area. You could make a real
fishing experience out of it if you had a couple of weeks.
Sorry if I sound like a Texas tourism commercial. Fishing is
great down here.

Good fishin
