Many good Ideas have been mentioned. I tend to do as Charlie, I freeze juice bottles full of water and pack the deer with them, then cover the deer with a thick blanket. When I didnt have my bottles I either butchered the deer and put them in coolers (just remember to keep a fore quarter with a tag on it, if required). I have also bought bagged ice and placed the bagges in the body cavity, and then wraped them. The only problem with bags of ice is they will thaw leaving your deer and blanket wet. You also have to replace the ice bages daily.
