RE: Did you harvest the largest animal you had in bow range?
I don't have a picture to post, but I took the first deer that presented me with a good shot. Normally I would have let this buck walk, but due to limited time(I had a newborn at home) I felt that he was the one for me. He had to walk by my tree about four times before I decided to shoot, but I'm really glad I did. He was a smaller public land six, but he tastes real good, and I never had another deer within bow range the rest of the season. I had two T-Zone(antlerless) tags to fill, hunted fairly hard second season, and came up empty handed.
