Yes indeed, once again Washington state has a Bandtailed Pigeon season! It has been 12 years since the state has chosen to partake in the hunting data and bird number counts and is now back in the conservation scene of these magnificent migratory birds.
I will try my best to provide any specimins I can get my guns on, and have been chosen by the Department of the Interior to be an official data collector to provide them with wing samples of any birds I harvest over the "newly" aquired 9 day Pigeon season here on the Westside of the Cascades. Is there any other states out there that have such a system on Bandtails??? Any tips would be appeciated too...
