If it's 12&quot; in diameter and stable when you're in it, you shouldn't have to worry. If it's a healthy tree that is. My grandpa was taking a tree down in his yard a while back; one of the forks was about a foot in diameter. It took two vehicles to pull it down after being sawn about halfway with a chain saw. This tree was starting to rot in the middle too. So if it takes that much to pull down trees that thick, you shouldn't be hunting in wind that'll knock one over <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
