Try not to use bug spray. Bears have a very keen sense of smell. When we hunt bears in Minn, we also have alot of mosquitos. We use clothes that are thicker so they cannot bite through and as a last resort you can get non scented bug spray. A person can also learn to tolerate some mosquitos for the chance at a bear.
