I travel thru this area every Fri and Sun on 160 and can honestly say I havent seen a roadside mule deer in 11 months of travelling. Altho they must be there. I do see a good amounrt of antelope on the east side of LaVeta PAss. Neighboring unit deer run good size( to me) and the bucks I seen last fall and winter were pretty big so I am guessing unit 85 bucks would be good too, esp if you hunt priv land.
