While the concept at first seems cool, I'm afraid it would result in sloppy shooting with the hunter thinking "I can hit the deer anywhere and still track it" Then the devise, for whatever reason fails or the range is shortened and you will have more lost deer IMHO.

I think others here have said it best, get a good double lung shot and odds are you will be able to see the deer fall from your stand.
