Default RE: Broadheads for black bear?

I've shot both and the slick trick wins hands down.

I currently use the 125's and as far as I am concerned nothing comes close to matching the performance of the slick trick when you consider all aspects of individual broadheads.

While montecs are certainly good quality heads they have some draw backs that I do not like. My biggest grype is the one piece construction. While this is great for strength if you dmage one you may as well toss it. While practicing with montecs for groups I managed to have a couple of heads impact each other inside the target. After that they blades had huge gouges in them and they were instantly useless for hunting. At $10 each that could get expensive. Same would go for hitting rocks after a pass thru.

I much prefer the replaceable baldes of the slick trick, or any head for that matter. If a blade gets damaged just replace it for about a buck.

I also prefer the 1 1/8" four blade cut of the slick trick to the three blade 1 1/16 inch cut of the montec. Much bigger hole and far more tissue being cut inside the animal.

Slick tricks are by far the most accurate broadhead I have shot.
