i'm always disagreeing with people about the .17 hmr and what it is good for. everybodys says you have to try one before you talk about it. well i finally broke down and bought one. still have not figured out what i am going to use it for but i picked up a savage stainless on composite. it is a match to the .22 mag i bought about a month ago. they look like brothers sitting in the cabinet together. now i will have some ammo to throw back. being good or bad. i ran two boxes of shells threw it last night and it seems to shoot pretty good groups after i tighted the stock down even. i was only shooting 40 yards but the groups were about the size of a dime or less. can't wait to see how it does out in the hay fields. i know one thing. we are going to have less crows around here.
