That is the exact some problem I have with mine! It works fine for a while, then starts to act goofy and I get alot of Black pictures and stuff, and then I have to send it in to get the softward updated. Its kind of annoying, especially when you pay over $300 for it.
My grandpa just had to send his in for the second time as well, but they told him that it should be good to go now. They updated it with the 2005 software and that suftware should be bug-free and work well. The 2005's are better I guess. Im gonna give them another shot to fix it I guess.
