You are right. As you know I have had about 25 700 Remingtons and sold in my shop another 100 or so. I have never had one fire when operating the safty. As far as I know, None I ever sold had a problem either. At least it never got back to me if it did. My problems with Remington add up to a grand total of two. I had the bolt handle come off of two 788 Remingtons . One in 308 and one in 6mm Rem. Darn I quess I got all the good ones. Oh I quess the folks on the poll here must have gotten a few as well.
