Default RE: Remington 700 Accidental Discharges

In defense of Big Green, this situation is extremely rare. Even rarer on a gun that has never been tweaked for a better trigger pull
Roskoe, gun was brand new couldn't have been more then a month old. I was actually walking back to the car and attempting to unload the gun (pointed up) The second I flicked that safety off Kaboom. Back then I didn't have enough sense to take a gun apart when purchased and remove all the residual oils and gunk that may have been on the mechanism.
