RE: Are guided hunts ethical?
moose. I also would like to know where and under what name you guide. I am a Maine Guide and I enjoy it very much. My SPORTS are very nice people and I have made some very good friends from celebrities to the working class. People hire guides for several different reasons. Some get very little time to enjoy the sport and have to make the best of the time and money they do have so they hire a guide who, yes, does the scouting, putting up the stands ect., but when it comes down to the hunt they participate evry bit as much. I have had celebrities that wanted to participate in the day to day work around the camps and he chose latrine duty. You are why some people look down at guides and the sports who hire them. With an attitude like yours you are in the wrong business. I do not talk behind my sports backs and my sole purpose is to see to it that evry sport who hires me gets the best, safest, most enjoyable hunt possible. I truely attemt to keep my prices down so that the working class can afford them as well. I am not in it soley for the money I truely enjoy helping others fullfill their hunting experiences. I think you should find a job where you work by yourself because you sure aren't a people person.
