Default RE: Are guided hunts ethical?

Sad thing is that PPL like me, who live in the middle of nowhere have no choice but to get quides if we ever want to hunt/kill a moose, elk, carrabou, bear, or anything other than whitetail or hogs. I personally have no clue what so ever a elk likes/dislikes. I have never seen one other than on TV. I would love nothing more than to take one of those great beast, but the cost for guides and "price per point" is WAY over what i have to spend. I would love to be able to get out and hunt open land to take nice game. I just dont know where to start, someone like yourself does. How will i ever learn if ppl like you are not there to teach me basics in gettin the job done. Even if you do charge a arm and a leg....and another arm to do it.
