Default RE: TomKat Package Accessories

The Tomkat package is ok. I just bought one last month and I love the bow.

Problem is, its kind of a catch-22 in a way. Yes, its a cheap package, and the bow is fantastic. The default accessories do leave something to be desired - the rest is the most notable piece that should be upgraded. I am sure you have noticed that the default rest is just a shoot-through, $10 rest. I opted for the new whisker biscuit.

The quiver is ok, though I dont particularily like it, as it is too big (I dont need 6-8 arrows) and is plain black. For hunting I will buy a kwikee 3-arrow quiver with matching camo instead. The sight is just fine, 3 pins, fiber optic, and plenty bright (havent shot at dusk yet though).

One thing you will definitely want to buy thats NOT included is a stabilizer. Not for shock reduction, as there is absolutely none, but rather for keeping the bow steady in your hand. As ugly and funky as it looks, I shot several arrows using the 'Wild Thing' that bowtech makes and it was definitely helpful in steadying my hand.

I would also try shooting the Diamond line of bows at a local dealer. You might be able to put together a better package built around the Rapture or the Triumph. You honestly cant go wrong with the Tomkat though - it shoots plenty fast, without recoil, and with almost no noise.
