RE: hoyt bows
I had the same problem with a Newberry and their hybrid cams are basically a copy of the Hoyt system. The round 3rd track on the lower cam can chew up the serving on the power cable. It is far worse on the shorter ATA bows where the cables must come off the cams at a greater angle. AKDoug, who is a staff shooter for Newberry, came up with a fix for the problem. He is on this forum sometimes (not too many who used to be here are posting much anymore) and is more often on ArcheryTalk. If you search threads over on that forum, or PM Doug, I'm sure he would be glad to tell you how to fix it. As near as I can remember, he changed the routing of the cables so the control cable was closest to the bow hand, and decreased the cable clearance somewhat by deepening the slot for the power cable in the cable guide. I also took 4-600 wet/dry sandpaper, and beveled and smoothed the spot where the contact was made. Hope this helps.
