MLKeith.. I've been casting a .458 diameter 405 grain pure lead flat point. It is the same bullet that was used in the 45/70 government rifle. I have been getting excellent accuracy with them also. I am thinking even though they have a flat point, with their weight they might do a nasty job on bigger critters. I shoot them out of orange Knight sabots. They load easy and shoot great. Just something to think of.
