I know what you are going through.
Last year just at the begining of Bow season here in Ohio I was laid off. Took until the end of January to get a new job. There went the season <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> I did get to hunt last year though as I took a trip to South Africa in June. Great trip but I still like to spend time in the deer woods.
txbowhntr, Look at it this way, you keep working hard and plan a vacation for next year and schedule it now then you have the excuse when it comes again. "I have a vacation and will be out of touch. I call you when I get back!"
The spouse may not like it but plan a long weekend and hunt non-resident in the state you are in if you can.
Good Luck
Greg
