Don't know about best, but here's my stuff that I use for my firearms:

Shooters Choice bore solvents
Birchwood Casey "Gun Scrubber"
BreakFree CLP
Browning gun oil (ultra fine)

Cleaning equip./kits: Kleen-bore
Patches: Kleen-bore
