About the only time I remember feeling recoil while hunting was when I was about 9 years old. I was sitting down, duck hunting with an old 12 ga. Winchester singleshot shotgun. I spotted some ducks over my left shoulder, when I swung and shot, the butt of the old 12ga. was almost in the crook of my arm! To this day I couldn't tell you if I hit ducks or not! I was too busy hurting! I only shot that gun once, or twice after that! My dad had to get me another gun, I just would not pull the trigger! That was the only hunting recoil that I ever remembered, but I DO remember it WELL!
