I havent even put my gear away yet from Turkey season and we already 100 short days away from the DE Archery Season Opener!

I have to admit that I havent done much with the bow since February. My 35 yd pin broke on the last hunt of the season so I need to replace that. I have one, I just need to put it on. I'll probably start shooting again next month. I wish this weather would warm up a tad. It doesnt feel like Spring.

Im am basing this countdown on the traditional Sept 1 start date. Last year though, DNREC said at the NCco Antlerless season meeting that bringing archery season in Mid August was "on the table". With the push towards herd reduction at any cost (Shotgun Oct Antlerless, Handgun Seasons, etc) it would not suprise me if the season started Mid August. That would be a warm one! [] Break out the bug spray!
