bigbulls. You are right. Thats one reason that I like the 250 Savage. I do also use the 25-06 which I suppose it over gunning as well. I used to use a 222 which is the smallest legal gun in our State. It worked just fine. I would choose my 22-250 over my 243. I am afraid that I am one of the awful sinners who uses the puny 270 for Elk.
