"Unfortunately" I've never had that problem with my Gold Tips. One day shooting at a target in the garage from 20 yards, I accidently touched off my release just before I got to full draw. Since I wasn't set, the arrow went just wide of the target, through two sides of the discharge chute on my snowblower, through the sheet rock on the garage wall, through the insulation, and the sheet rock on the family room side of the wall. Thank God it stopped before it got all the way through the family room wall or I'd have had to buy a brand new TV (not to mention a new place to live and every thing else after my wife kicked me out of this one). Needless to say, I don't shoot into the garage anymore.

Oh yeah, the only damage to the arrow was a couple torn vanes.
