They would shoot "OK" at faster velocities but I cant afford faster velocities because more powder is used and .300 mags aint easy on a lb of powder.
If you can't afford a few extra grains of powder per shot,a 300 mag is a poor cartridge choice in the first place.If that few cent's per shot is that important you would be far better served with a cartridge such as the 308 win.
